Hi Gang,

Thank you for all your wishes!  Yes, I am back in shape and all fit and fine now.  The last few days were really difficult for me as I could not skip shooting since the track was moving at a pace that did not allow my absence.  But with the support of Debina and all you fans, I have made it out of malaria.  I thank all of you all from the bottom of my heart as it is at such times of hardship that you who is really there for you.  Even the production people and crew have been very understanding and thanks to them I was able to manage my shooting while keeping unwell.

What do I say about Debina because no matter how much I thank her, it will always be less.  She is my support system!!!  I also received a lot of wishes from the industry and I am grateful for all the good wishes.  I have read everyone's comments on the blog and also got to know that some people faster for my well being.  A thank you is just not enough for you all!  I hope I keep proving myself to be worthy of all this love!  Now I am completely fit and fine and I promise that I will try to update the blog more often!

Take care guys!  God Bless!

Love,

Gurmeet

Hey Gang,

How are you all?  Hope you enjoyed the previous blog entry and thanks to all of you that religiously post on our blog.  Debina and I love to read what you all have to write Smile.

Today though I am on the hot seat telling you all about my favorite actresses.  My first favorite is Kajol- she yet has the charm.  An actor's eyes should speak and Kajol is the epitome of expressive eyes!  In mainstream cinema even after marriage and motherhood, she has maintained her career - its simply fantastic!  Be it Fanaa, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, DDLJ, Dushman or the latest My Name Is Khan, she is simply the best and I'm really looking forward to We Are Family!

My next favorite is the bubbly Juhi Chawla.  I believe that very few actresses can do comedy and she's one actress who does it brilliantly!  I love her pairing with SRK and my personal favorite films of Juhi are Darr and Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak!

Where do I begin with my next favorite bollywood queen?  She is truly a queen of the universe as Aishwariya Rai Bachchan is one of the most beautiful women one can come across.  She makes us Indians proud as she represents India internationally.  I had first seen her in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and from that day I have found her work to be amazing!

Talking about queens how can one forget 'Rani' Mukherjee.  Black took my breath away!  Very few actresses can give such a power packed performance and that too without speaking.  She knows her job and is truly brilliant at it!  Though she is going through a low phase right now I am sure she will be back with a bang in No One Killed Jessica!

Aaha last but not the least is Debina Bonnerjee, not just because she's my Debina - my real life heroine.  She's truly a fantastic actress and having seen her South films, I really feel she emotes fantastically!

Well those are my favorite actresses but I would love to hear about your favorites gang!  Do you all have any personal favorites that truly take your breath away when they are on screen?  I would love to find out....

Yours,

Gurmeet

To All Our Blog Readers,

Long time right?  Sorry for not being able to reach out to you all earlier but schedules have been quite hectic.  Today we both are in a nostalgic mood as its been a year since Ramayan ended.  We thought why not share our thoughts on these golden days with you.

Debina: I had to cry for the last scene of the last episode, my tears far from being just on-screen became quite visible off-screen.  I was in pain as my character of Sita which I had played for 1.5 years was coming to an end; I had felt Sita's pain throughout the portrayal of the character and it was difficult to see this journey come to an end.  After a day or so, we all sat down together to see the episode and I had to ask Guru to tell me if people around could feel Sita's pain.  It was with the death of Sita that our whole team realized that the show had really come to an end.  As I narrate this day to you all, my eyes are again filled with tears.  Those were really the golden days and unknowingly we created history.

Gurmeet: With the end of Sita, we all came to the realization that the show as about to end.  For the first time in my life, I cried loudly like a baby.  Debi somehow managed to calm me down.  I still remember my last scene in which I had to walk barefoot on a hot ground and then enter a river.  It was really hot that day but the pain inside me was so immense that I felt no external pain.  I loved living the character and eating, sleeping, drinking Ram.  I thought let me drown Ram today and though I was not required to cry for that scene, my heart was shedding a thousand tears.

Even today I miss those days but Ram went into the river and Maan emerged out.  Work has to go on but the satisfaction and enjoyment I felt in portraying Ram's character is unmatched.  I actually never realized how effortless my days were during Ramayan with Debina on my side but it is after the end of the show I began to miss Debina's chirpiness, her voice and having her by my side.  To this day, I keep calling Deb in the middle of shooting to hear her voice as that keeps me going.  We both loved Ramayan and as a couple we both really created history with the show.

Love,

Gurmeet & Debina
